When it comes to training, I saw more positive reinforcement and relationship building in an environment where most of the world thinks the tools we use are abusive, then I have ever seen in positive only or positive mostly training centers and trainers. It was an incredibly awesome, humbling and educational experience.
Words truly can’t even begin to express how appreciative we are of all of you for the change you have effected in Stanley. Very life altering. The entire family had a great time doing the Cliff Walk on Saturday evening. We were so amazed to see how much Stanley loved and enjoyed the challenge of being on rocky terrain.
First of all I must say how deeply thankful I am over the remote collar as a working tool. I never imagined it would be of so much use!So Jeff, thank you again for teaching me how to work the remote collar, it was the best thing I’ve ever done! I could never imagine having my dog off leash in the way I can now.

I was a new dog owner with a 14-week old puppy who was out of control in the house, constantly biting hands, pulling on walks, with no structure in its life and I had no idea how to correct it. I walked into solid k9 training with my puppy pulling in front of me smelling everything in sight and looking for some hands to bite. After a one hour session, I walked out with a 14-week old puppy walking by my side focused on me instead of everything around him
Jeff, we’ve had two 1 on 1 sessions with Jon. We’ve seen more improvement in those two sessions than the previous four months. We went from basically giving up on walking him ( we had tried the start/stop method, the change direction method, the bribe with treat method) to one session with the prong. After that one session, we (me, my fiancé, and dog) are going on peaceful 40-minute structured walks. After the second lesson, we incorporated the remote collar, and it is truly amazing.
We were pretty close to either giving up or putting down our two and a half-year-old corgi for some pretty serious food aggression, resource guarding, and issues being physically handled. Our dog wouldn’t accept collars and could barely be let out of the crate without finding something to guard and get aggressive over.
I am a long time client of Solid K9 Training and without the guidance that was given not only by teaching my Akita at the age of 10 weeks old what is expected of her, Jeff also taught all of my children that were then ages 8, 9 and 10 how to be pack leaders.
Solid K9 gave us the confidence and tools to work to reestablish our relationship with her and as I type this post she is asleep in “place”, and has been in place for 2 hours, cool as a cucumber while I do things around the house.
After 1 week, Coco came home in an entirely different state of mind! She was so relaxed and calm. After 2 weeks being home, she stayed in place for 3 hrs while we had 18 people over ! This would of never happened before.
